Secondly, this site DOES NOT endorse the use of crystal methamphetamine or indeed the use of illegal substances of any kind. Drugs aren't particularly great or clever and addiction to them creates all manner of personal and societal problems. But we are working on the assumption that YOU KNOW THAT ALREADY. So, the short answer is no - Miss Tina isn't on our "I Heart..." list.

But do you know what else isn't on our "I Heart..." list? Bullying. Hypocracy, too. They suck almost as much. In some circumstances, even more so. So you can imagine how we feel about the bullying of the UK gay community with lies by hypocrites. That's right, we're not huge fans...

Sadly, the truth today is that some people would like to shut down legitimate debate and discussion about crystal by using lies, hysteria and witch-hunting. They want to block your access to the truth about crystal meth in the UK to prevent you from exercising your right as an adult to form your own opinion about it.

But don't dispair! We have a theory... Our theory is that bullies lose their power when they are exposed for what they are; in this case, people with too much time on their hands whose hearts may be in the right place but wrongly believe the ends justify the means. And what are those means? Junk science, statistical denialism, anecdotal evidence, hysterical sloganeering, stigmatisation, cheesy anthropomorphism and plain old lies. If Tina was on trial for murdering the gay scene using THEIR evidence, she'd probably get acquitted. And let's face it; there's something a bit, well, perverse about demonising one drug when you're being carried out of a club due to the effects of another, don't you agree?

Basically, we strongly encourage everyone to just say no - but do it for the right reasons. Do it because you know all the facts and are making a TRUE informed decision. NOT because you've been scared into it.

And if we have a bloody good laugh while we're empowering OURSELVES, then good for us.

But aren't you just having a go at someone who is just trying to help?
And therein lies the trouble; we don't think they are helping. To analogise (if we may) their kind of help is like assisting a blindfolded person up a flight of stairs when you could just remove the blindfold so they can go up the stairs themselves. Do you see our point?

We don't think lying to gay men so we can direct them to where WE want them to go is ethical or helpful. Removing the blindfold is the first step; however, there's no point taking the blindfold off to find you're hurtling down an elevator shaft.
